Julie Barrios is a spiritual director and supervisor of spiritual directors at the Institute for Spiritual Formation at Talbot School of Theology. She completed her MA in Spiritual Formation and Soul Care at Talbot School of Theology in 2005 as well as the Ignatian Spiritual Formation Program at the Loyola Institute for Spirituality in 2009. Along with being a spiritual director, Julie is an artist, speaker, and storyteller. She describes her sense of style as Helvetica Hippie, but isn’t really sure what that means. Cate MacDonald is a writer deeply interested in beauty, incarnational living, the theology of the family, and hospitality (both emotional and physical). She graduated from Biola University and the Torrey Honors Institute in 2006 with a degree in English Literature and from Talbot Theological Seminary in 2010 with an M.A. in Spiritual Formation and Soul Care. She now narrowly avoids destitution as a spiritual director, writer and graduate student recruiter at Biola. In her free time she rides her horses, spends time with her friends, tries to avoid shopping, cooks, and reads. She is intensely attracted to everything Holly GoLightly wears, but maintains a fondness for jeans and cowboy boots, which makes for an usual closet. To connect with Cate, click here.
